Our Team

We have a great highly committed, passionate and caring team of qualified and motivated staff, who are dedicated to providing each child with a first class start to their formal education journey.
Rebecca Dominy

Miss Dominy has worked at Stoborough Nursery since 2003 and became the Nursery Supervisor in September 2020. She has a BA Hons in Early Years and Education and has experience as a lecturer and mentor to adult learners. Miss Dominy oversees the day-to-day running of the nursery and is the Equality Named Co-ordinator (ENCO) (monitoring and promoting equality of opportunity in the setting). She is also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo).   Miss Dominy lives in Wareham and is a volunteer for the local Scout Group. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.    

Sue Edmondston

Miss Sue started working at Stoborough Nursery at the end of 2021. She has a level 3 qualification in Preschool Practice and has been working in Early Years since 1998. She has lived in various places in the UK and Germany but grew up in Wareham and returned there after her husband left the army. She has four children and enjoys reading, computer games and puzzles. She is the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator role (SENCO) co-ordinating the special educational needs support in the nursery, and the Designated Person for Health and Safety.

Other Staff

Dee Prior - Mrs Prior has worked at Stoborough Nursery as a Nursery Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor since 2010. She has a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education and is the nursery's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Mrs Prior has lived in Wareham all her life and has three sons. She enjoys spinning, going to the gym, and socialising with friends

 

Deana Smith - Mrs Smith began working at Stoborough Nursery as a Support Worker, Lunchtime Assistant and Nursery Assistant in December 2018. She has a Certificate of Higher Education in Special Educational Needs and has great experience working with children with additional needs and is our resident signing expert. She enjoys gardening, spending time with her grandsons, walking and sea swimming.

 

Lauren Green - Ms Lauren began working at Stoborough Nursery in 2022. She has spent 12 years teaching in the Middle East and Asia, where she met her husband and had her daughter. Ms Lauren has a passion for phonics and speech and language activities. She holds an SLT certificate, SEN diploma and Safeguarding level 3.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks and cooking.

 

Kelly Andrews - Mrs Andrews joined Stoborough Nursery in 2022 as Bookkeeper. Kelly grew up in Wareham until she moved to North Dorset in 2004. She lives with her husband and son, two dogs and cat. In her spare time, she can be found reading, playing netball, and walking her dogs.

Our board of trustees - 'Management committee'

As a registered charity we are run by a Board of Trustees (management committee) who are responsible for all the staffing and decision-making regards the running of the nursery, with our nursery supervisor being responsible for the day-to-day general running of the facility.
